Where to wander this month: Stocks Reservoir
This scenic circular walk from School lane car park provides stunning views of the reservoir and areas of woodland and farm land.
The reservoir is owned by United Utilities and lies within the Forest of Bowland Area of Natural Beauty. It was opened by HRH The Prince George KG, on July 5th 1932 and is rated at UU’s most important reservoirs for wildfowl.

Approx. Time: 3 hours
Terrain: Roads and tracks, some gates
Important info:
The first section of the route goes through farmland where depending on the time of year there may be cattle or livestock, please make sure to follow the countryside code.
The last section brings you in close contact with the mountain bike trails of Gisburn forest so please be careful and give the cyclists right of way.
